You need to ASK your patients about their bladders.

Over 6.3 million men aged 30 years and older (1 out of 10) have BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia).1
Among men 55-74, almost 1 in 5 have BPH.
Among men 75+, over 1 in 3 have BPH.
1 in 3 American adults are living with the loss of bladder control and 87% of them are NOT diagnosed.2
On average, diagnosed adults waited 6 years after first experiencing symptoms before talking with a healthcare professional.

Introducing the BladderScan® Bladder Assessment Kit

What the Kit does:

Developed especially for primary care physicians, the BladderScan® Bladder Assessment Kit is a comprehensive program to bring urology into your practice. The kit provides the essential assessment capabilities you need to diagnose, prescribe for, and treat your patients' bladder and urinary problems. The instruments in the kit allow for rapid and noninvasive measurement of urinary flow and residual bladder volume (PVR, or post void residual).

Indications
If your patients present any of the following indications, a BladderScan® Bladder Assessment Kit may be good medicine for your practice:
BPH
Over Active Bladder
Diabetic/ Neurogenic Bladder
Acute Urinary Retention
Urinary Incontinence
MS/ Parkinson/ Self-care
Bladder Outlet Obstruction

The kit allows you to quickly and easily take key diagnostic steps before prescribing medication for bladder dysfunction or writing a referral to a urologist.
Benefits for you, your patients, and your practice:

You receive immediate and accurate information to diagnose bladder dysfunction. Because the tests can be conducted quickly, you can discuss potential treatment options with your patients at the time of their office visit. Your patients can avoid possible time-consuming referrals, pain from catheterization and the related risk of infection.

Herbert Lepor, MD (Department of Urology, New York University, School of Medicine, New York, NY), recommends steps for the evaluation of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition that has been estimated to affect 50% of men aged 51-60 years and 90% of men older than 80 years in the United States. Christopher E. Kelly, MD (Department of Urology, New York University, School of Medicine, New York, NY), concludes that "When evaluating patients with voiding dysfunction, noninvasive tests such as uroflowmetry and measurement of post void residual (PVR) can help to determine whether additional testing is needed."
