Upgrading the Device Software on the BladderScan®BVI 9400 to support Small Child Mode
 

Customers who have already purchased BladderScan® BVI 9400 instruments may upgrade the software on their devices to include Small Child Mode using HIPAA-compliant ScanPoint® online technology from Verathon®.

Besides enabling software upgrades, ScanPoint® subscribers enjoy quick, easy online calibration of their BladderScan® instruments and the ability to view, save and print bladder measurement reports.

NOTE:  You must have ScanPoint® with QuickPrint software installed on your PC to be able to upgrade your BVI 9400 instrument.

If your organization does not use ScanPoint® with QuickPrint, then the unit must be returned to Verathon Medical® for new software incorporating Small Child Mode to be installed.

Please contact the Verathon Medical® Customer Care department at +1-800-331-2313 for assistance with installing ScanPoint® with QuickPrint software.

NOTE:  Upgrading device software to include Small Child Mode is OPTIONAL.  Upgrading the device software is recommended only if your practice frequently treats pediatric patients.

To upgrade the BVI 9400 to feature Small Child Mode, please follow these steps:

  1. Launch ScanPoint® with QuickPrint on your PC.
  2. When the BVI 9400 and ScanPoint® are wirelessly linked, a picture of the BVI 9400 will appear in the left side of the page as shown at left.
  3. If the BVI 9400 is NOT displayed on the left side of the page, push the ScanPoint® button on the Home screen of the BVI 9400, then click “Find New” on the ScanPoint® with QuickPrint screen to establish a wireless link between ScanPoint® and the BVI 9400.
  4. When the wireless link is established, click “Update Instrument” on the ScanPoint® page.
  5. When the software upgrade is complete, the leftmost button on the BVI 9400 home screen show three different images as shown below:
