Innovative
Bladder Imaging Technology from Verathon®
The
BladderScan® instruments in the ScanPoint®
Urology Suite integrate with ScanPoint®
to provide enhanced functionality.

BladderScan®
BVI 6100 - By noninvasively determining bladder
volume, the handheld BVI 6100 prevents unnecessary
catheterization, identifies undiagnosed retention,
and reduces the risk of urinary tract infection.
It is also helpful in managing patients with chronic
urological conditions, such as incontinence. Images
from bladder volume exams can be viewed and printed
using the ScanPoint® imaging and
calibration service. |

Pediatric
BladderScan® BVI 6200 - Use the Pediatric
BladderScan® to determine a child's
bladder volume without catheterization. The Pediatric
BladderScan® is optimized for use
on children up to 48" (122cm) tall and weighing
up to 60 lbs. (27 kg). The Pediatric BladderScan®
eliminates unnecessary trauma to pediatric patients
and lowers the cost of care by minimizing infection
and other complications of catheterization. |

Bladder
Monitor (BladderScan® BVI 6300) - The Bladder
Monitor is a handheld, noninvasive ultrasound instrument
that is prescribed by a physician to enable the
patient monitor his or her own bladder fullness.
Based on the healthcare provider's prescription,
the Bladder Monitor is programmed with information
about the individual user's target bladder volume
via ScanPoint® and measurements are
displayed as a percentage of the target bladder
volume. |

Mobile
BladderScan® BVI 6400 - The Mobile BladderScan®
instrument can hold ten or more patient exams, each
of which is associated with a voice annotation,
so healthcare providers can conveniently scan multiple
patients on their rounds. After completing a patient
exam, the provider simply records a brief voice
message to identify the patient and other relevant
exam information, and then proceeds to scan another
patient, if desired. The voice recording is replayed
when the associated exam is viewed on ScanPoint®. |

BladderScan®
BVM 6500 - The newest innovation in urological
care: Noninvasive UEBW (ultrasound estimated bladder
weight) and volume measurement. Helps Urologists
diagnose hypertrophy secondary to obstruction, making
this common urological condition easier to manage
and treat. Like the original BladderScan®
instrument, the BVM 6500's bladder volume feature
also identifies undiagnosed retention, prevents
unnecessary catheterization, and reduces the risk
of urinary tract infection. |
By
providing noninvasive bladder imaging, the ScanPoint®
Urology Suite helps healthcare professionals give the
best care to patients with urological conditions.
