For Individual Bladder Volume Monitoring

The BladderScan^® BVI 6300 Bladder Monitor is a handheld, noninvasive ultrasound instrument prescribed by the healthcare provider to enable patients to monitor bladder fullness on an ongoing basis. It is easy to use and quickly provides accurate results, so the patient can make informed decisions about when voiding is necessary.

Using ScanPoint®, the innovative online service from Verathon^®, the healthcare provider programs the Bladder Monitor with information about the patient's target bladder volume. Measurements are displayed as a percentage of this target volume.

The easy-to-use Bladder Monitor:

	Displays measurements as a percentage of bladder fullness
	Is customized with the patient's individual target bladder volume
	Features pre-void and post-void settings
	Prevents urinary retention
	Helps avoid incontinent episodes
	Eliminates unnecessary catheterization (where applicable), decreasing the chance of upper urinary tract damage and infection (UTI)

The Bladder Monitor saves all exam data, so when the patient comes for a follow-up appointment, the healthcare provider can view a record of the patient's exams using ScanPoint^®. To facilitate the monitoring of bladder function, the Bladder Monitor has pre-void and post-void settings that are selected prior to every exam. ScanPoint^® displays exam results, including pre- and post-void exams, on a printable scatter plot.

The Bladder Monitor is particularly beneficial for patients on intermittent catheterization schedules and patients with neurogenic bladders. For patients, the BladderScan^® restores personal freedom and improves quality of life.
